Am I for you?

These are the people I work with:

  • People at a crossroads in their jobs, relationships, life!

  • People experiencing depression, anxiety or don’t even know what they are experiencing - just know that it’s not right.

  • People with gut issues (IBS), mild physical issues (lack energy, sleep issues) who haven't been able to find resolution through usual medical services and it’s impacting their mental well-being.

  • People with a mental health diagnosis (depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, personality disorder) - who would like to take a whole approach to their healing.

What if I am currently on medication?

No problem at all. I can work with you while you are on psychiatric (or other) medications. If you are wanting support coming off your medications - I am happy to support medication withdrawal under the supervision of your GP.

What are your Qualifications?

I am a registered comprehensive trained nurse. I worked in the area of psychiatry for over 15 years. I hold a Master in Health Science and an Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Mental Health). I also have completed:

  • A certificate in Life Coaching

  • Certificate in Solution Focused Therapy (SFT)

  • A certificate in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)

  • A certificate in Interactive Drawing Therapy (IDT)

  • Mindfulness Training for Health Practitioners

  • ACNEM (Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine) Primary Modules

What if I am in therapy with someone?

If you are currently having therapy with someone - it’s important to discuss this with them. Although mental health coaching isn’t therapy as such - it’s important that the time is right for you to be working with me - and this needs to be discussed with your primary therapist.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

Not at all! You can contact me directly to make an appointment. Feel free to email first to see if it might be appropriate for us to work together - alternatively, you can book directly through the online booking system here.

Yes! One Life is a registered provider with WINZ. You need to discuss this with your WINZ case manager and your GP. In many cases WINZ are happy to pay for up to six sessions initially - further sessions can be added as necessary.

Does WINZ cover appointment costs?

It all depends. Sometimes you only need the one (yes, this happens!) Sometimes you may need six or seven. You may come weekly for the first few sessions, then space them over a few weeks or months depending on your needs.

How many consults will I need?

One Life sessions are not covered by ACC - but are covered by CLEARHEAD, IGNITE and OCP employee assistance programs. Contact your employer to see if they cover the above programs.

Are you covered by ACC or Employee assistance Program (EAP)?

Do you do other testing?

If you have specific issues that require further testing - eg gut (microbiome testing) - this can be done on a case-by-case basis.
