It isn’t easy to describe exactly what I do. I’m a life coach, but also a nurse with years of practice in psychiatry. I combine conventional knowledge with nutritional and lifestyle medicine. I also have years of experience which gives me good insight into how we tick.

The easiest way to describe my role - is that of a health coach - but I’m also a therapist, and a nurse, although that’s not only what I do!

What is Life Coaching?

Coaching is a strength-based & future-focused process. Although your past is an important part of who you are - coaching is interested in where you are headed. Life coaching is about designing a purpose-filled life.

What is Mental Health Coaching?

Mental health coaching encompasses life coaching with the focus on guiding an individual to be mentally resilient. It supports an individual to build strength and resilience and have the ability to recover from difficulties. Mental Health isn’t simply about the absence of mental illness - it’s about loving the life you have, despite its challenges.

A Holistic approach to mental health

When it comes to mental health - we can not separate the mind from the body. What happens in the body is reflected in the mind and visa-versa. We also know that there are many reasons why you may be struggling mentally, and therefore many ways we can support your mental health.

My approach to mental health & life coaching incorporates many aspects of physical and mental health, alongside a life coaching framework. With this approach, we can address many areas in your life that you might be struggling with - stress, anxiety, depression, low mood & energy or feelings of overwhelm.

For this reason, a ‘whole-body’ approach is taken to mental well-being. This may include addressing dietary, nutritional and lifestyle factors alongside conventional medication and talk therapy

Each one of these components can support mental health and well-being recovery.

What happens during a mental health and life coach consultation?

Consultations can occur in person or online. The first consultation involves getting to know all about you.

We identify what you are struggling with currently and determine your goals and how you would like to be feeling in the future.

We look at implementing changes on the first consultation with support and reassessment at subsequent necessary appointments.
